[CULTURE REVIEW] 'Avengers: Infinity War' The Perfect Balance Between Thano's Philosophy and Marvel's Style of Humor

[MHN] Starting 'Iron Man' in 2008, Marvel's been successfully putting out 18 series of their universe in pictures. Now the third 'Avengers' series just came out, it's the 'Avengers: Infinity War'.

According to the Korean Film Council, 'Infinity War' is the number one selling movie now hovering over 1 million sales already taking up a 96.4% rate of total box office sales.

When CGV first opened the pre-sale tickets for the film ten days before its release, not only did it sell out fast but some were being sold again as black tickets. (CGV announced harsh penalties against such fraud involved in regarding ticket sales.) Despite the embargo policy related to the film before and after, many online media and social media communities have been exposing the spoilers of the film as well.

Before the 'Avengers: Infinity War' was released, many fans were curious about how the 'soul stone' will be featured and if any heroes were to be killed. The 'Power Stone' that Thanos already had was something the Guardians of the Galaxy saved for the Nova Corps to take care of. Other stones such as the 'Space Stone', 'Mind Stone', Dr. Strange's 'Time Stone', and the 'Reality Stone' were all revealed at least once in all the series.

However, the 'Soul Stone' hasn't been unveiled yet and there were presumptions that it's the eye of Heimdall, Thor's best friend. Other predictions fans were making were on Iron Man or Captain America's death too. For this new film, the answer to both presumptions is revealed in a totally different picture from most would've guessed.

From the 'Avengers', the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' to the 'Wakanda' family and 'Dr.Strange', this grand scale of blending 67 different superheroes in one film actually came out pretty well.

The main villain, Thanos, actually appears as someone who has a strong philosophical mindset about keeping the balance of the whole universe. The more the Infinity Stones are collected, a darker atmosphere and stronger tensions are built. But, the mindblowing action scenes of the heroes and Marvel's style of humor balances out everything.

If you've been an avid Marvel fan, who's been waiting for this over the past decade, the ending might be too devastating and even horrific to the point where you'll need an 'Avengers 4'. As what Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Comics once mentioned, "Marvel Studio will be divided into the before and after of Avengers 4". We'll have to wait what will really happen until next year.

If you're totally new to the Marvel world, you might want to go through some of the series beforehand because there's a lot of backgrounds and history to know in order to understand the film fully. And don't read or see the spoilers, please.

There is no need for doing so when the biggest spoiler alert is actually what 'Thanos' has been doing all along. Last but not least, there's one post-credit scene from this film.
